Ecuador's recent decision to grant Julian Assange citizenship is the latest twist in the legal manoeuvrings to provide the Australian with safe passage out the Ecuadorian embassy in London. Assange has taken refuge in the embassy since June 2012, and was granted diplomatic asylum by Ecuador.
